WindowWorks is looking to hire an account manager/product specialist to help grow our business to the next level.  This is a full-time position, with commission and a vehicle and cell phone allowance. 

Job Description: 

  • Identify new markets within the designer and retail upholstery, fabrics, drapery and customer furniture industry
  • Generate new leads and follow through to final sale
  • Build relationships with designer clients through industry knowledge and the desire for strong customer service and on-call service if required
  • Provide lunch and learns to designer firms to educate and generate opportunities for WindowWorks
  • Complete a full sales cycle
  •  Identify and pursue new leads
  • Provide consultation and measurements (as required) to the designer on an as-needed basis throughout the sales through a combination of creativity and collaboration
  • Work with workroom on steps required to create what the client has thought up
    • Quote the project
    • Close the sale and collect the required deposit
    • Work with the support team to: 
      • Order materials and products 
      • Arrange installation of the project 
      • Arrange for final payment
      • Follow up with customer to ensure product and service is up to spec

Qualifications: 

  • Proven track record of generating sales and maintaining relationships with key clients 
  • A diploma/degree in interior design would be an asset
  • A creative passion for design of draperies, upholstery and window coverings
  • Prior experience with sewing, fabrics, upholstery and window coverings is an asset
  • The desire to learn the Hunter Douglas product line
  • A growth mindset, targeted to learn and be mentored by industry experts within WindowWorks 
  • A go-getter that is determined to take ownership of each project including any deficiencies, while ensuring all challenges are resolved in a timely manner
  • A passion to create any project that the client requests, by leveraging the workroom expertise
  • Ability to prepare and set up, and to present educational lunch-and-learns on Windowworks products to groups of 5 – 20 designers, and to follow up regularly afterwards
  • The passion to build from scratch and maintain a strong network of designers, architects, showhome builders, and the film industry in Western Canada
